Dean'S Award Winning Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light Karo syrup
    1/2 c. water
    2 egg whites, beaten stiff
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine sugar, water and syrup and cook over medium heat until it forms a hard ball when dropped in cold water or spins a thread.
    Pour syrup slowly into egg whites, beating constantly. Continue to beat until hardening begins.
    Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into buttered pan and set until cold.
