Cherry Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/4 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. orange juice
1 egg
3 Tbsp. melted shortening
1 Tbsp. grated orange rind
1/2 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. chopped maraschino cherries
Preparation

Into a flour sifter, put flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda.
Sift into bowl.
Add milk, orange juice and egg. Mix well.
Add remaining ingredients.
Mix all together.
Turn into greased, floured loaf pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes or until straw or toothpick comes out clean.
