Easy Stuffed Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium green peppers
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 c. soft bread crumbs
    1/3 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. Heinz chili sauce
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. grated sharp cheese
Preparation
    Slice stem ends from peppers; scoop out seeds.
    Blanch in boiling water (2 to 3 minutes).
    Drain well.
    Season insides of peppers with salt and pepper.
    Combine ground beef and next 6 ingredients.
    Stuff peppers with meat mixture; place in buttered 2-quart casserole.
    Cover and bake in a 350\u00b0 oven.
    Top peppers with cheese and dollop of chili sauce.
    Bake, uncovered, 5 minutes longer.
    Makes 6 servings.
