French Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. onions, peeled and sliced thin
    1/2 c. margarine
    3 (10 1/2 oz.) cans condensed beef broth
    1 soup can water
    2 Tbsp. dry white wine
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    8 slices French bread (1 1/2 inches thick)
    2 oz. grated Swiss cheese
    2 oz. grated Parmesan cheese
    butter
Preparation
    Melt butter in saucepan.
    Add onions; saute until golden, about 30 minutes.
    Add broth, water, wine and Worcestershire. Simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.
    Place bread slices on baking sheet in a 350\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes.
    Pour soup into tureen. Place toast on top; sprinkle with both cheeses.
    Dot with butter and heat in a 400\u00b0 oven until cheese melts.
    Serve.
    Makes 8 servings.
