Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 yellow squash
    1/2 onion
    1/2 c. grated American cheese
    1 large tomato
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 c. bread crumbs
Preparation
    Slice squash and place in buttered casserole alternately with the other ingredients.
    Top with bread crumbs; dot with butter. Bake for 40 minutes at 375\u00b0.
