Low-Fat Homemade Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 egg whites
    8 oz. egg substitute
    2 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 qt. half and half
Preparation
    Combine the egg substitute, sugar and milk.
    Heat until the mixture bubbles, stirring often, or until it is a soft custard. Beat the egg whites stiff.
    Over them pour the hot custard and mix thoroughly.
    Add vanilla and salt; cool, then add cream.
    Mix well.
    Freeze.
