Strip Toffee Sticks - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
4 1/2 c. flour
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. vanilla
2 egg yolks (save whites)
3/4 to 1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add egg yolks and rest of ingredients (except pecans) and mix well.
Press into 2 ungreased jelly-roll pans.
Spread with egg whites, pouring off excess.
Sprinkle with chopped pecans, pressing in slightly.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
Cool slightly and cut into bars before completely cool. Remove from pans when cooled.
These keep well in the refrigerator.
