2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 c. sour milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Sift flour once; measure. Add baking soda and salt and sift together 3 times. Work butter with spoon until creamy. Add sugar gradually, beating after each addition until light and fluffy. Add eggs and blend well. Add flour alternately with milk, beating after each addition until smooth. Add vanilla. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 425\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until brown. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
