Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. white sugar
2 1/4 c. plain flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 c. Crisco
4 1/2 oz. red cake coloring
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Sift flour 3 times with cocoa.
Cream sugar and Crisco together.
Add eggs and food coloring.
Beat 10 minutes.
Add buttermilk, flour, salt and vanilla.
Remove from mixer.
Beat by hand, adding the vinegar and soda.
Put in 2 (9-inch) pans.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
