Congo Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. butter or margarine
    3 eggs
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 lb. dark brown sugar
    2 3/4 c. flour
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Melt butter in 1 1/2-quart saucepan; add brown sugar.
    Mix well; remove from heat and let it cool (chips will melt if not cooled).
    Add 1 egg at a time and mix well.
    Add nuts and chips. Add flour and mix well.
    Place mixture in large oblong pan, at least 9 x 13-inch or slightly larger.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool and cut into bars; remove from pan.
