Stuffed Sweet Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large bell peppers
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 hard-boiled egg
    4 Tbsp. cooked ham
    1 onion, chopped
    1/2 c. brown sauce
    salt and pepper
    1 c. buttered crumbs
Preparation
    Cut tops out of peppers; take out seeds, then drop in hot water and allow to simmer for 10 minutes.
    Plunge in cold water to harden.
    Cook onion in butter a few minutes.
    Add rest of the ingredients; mix well and cool.
    Sprinkle peppers lightly with salt inside.
    Stuff with mixture; bake in earthen dish until lightly browned.
