Chop Suey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean pork, cut up
    1/2 lb. round steak, cut up
    2 c. chopped onion
    4 c. chopped celery
    1 can bean sprouts (add enough water to bean sprout juice to make 2 c. liquid)
    1 small can water chestnuts (optional)
    4 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar (heaping)
    1 large can mushrooms
Preparation
    Brown meat slightly in a little oil.
    Add other ingredients until done (about 2 hours).
    Thicken slightly with flour and water or cornstarch. Serve over cooked rice.
