Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head iceberg lettuce, broken up
    6 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
    1/2 lb. bacon, fried and crumbled
    1 medium onion, sliced thin
    2 c. peas (frozen), thawed not cooked
    1 c. sour cream
    2 c. real mayonnaise
    1 c. shredded Colby cheese
Preparation
    Layer half of lettuce, the eggs and onion.
    Then put second layer of lettuce, bacon and peas.
    Mix sour cream and mayonnaise and spread on top to the very edge of the bowl.
    Cover and refrigerate 24 hours or at least overnight.
    When ready to serve, spread cheese on top of dressing and toss to mix salad ingredients.
