Ingredients

3 lb. shortening
3 lb. granulated sugar
2 lb. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. vanilla
12 eggs
1/2 (No. 10) can peanut butter
4 lb. flour
1/4 c. baking soda
1 Tbsp. salt
2 c. peanut granules (optional)
Preparation

Thoroughly cream shortening, sugar and vanilla.
Add eggs, beat thoroughly.
Add peanut butter and mix well.
Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture and mix well.
Add peanuts, if desired.
Drop onto greased pan.
Press lightly with potato masher.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 6 to 8 minutes.
Yield:
280 cookies.
