Hominy Chili Supper - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can white hominy
    2 Tbsp. shortening, melted
    1 to 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 (9 oz.) can tomato puree
    1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    In large skillet, cook ground beef and onion in shortening until it is browned and onion is tender.
    Drain.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 30 to 40 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
