Southern Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. light corn syrup
    2 eggs
    3 Tbsp. butter, melted
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped pecans
    enough pecans for top
    1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Preparation
    Combine first 5 ingredients.
    Mix well with wire whip.
    Stir in chopped nuts.
    Pour filling into unbaked pie shell.
    Decorate top of pie with pecan halves.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350\u00b0.
    Bake about 30 minutes longer.
