"Raisin Puffs" Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. raisins
    1 c. water
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar (I use 1/2 c. brown sugar)
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cook raisins in water over low heat until dry.
    Cool.
    Cream together shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
    Add flour, salt and soda.
    Stir in raisins last.
    Make into small balls.
    Roll in white sugar.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
