Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    6 Tbsp. cocoa
    1/2 c. plus 1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 large eggs
    1/2 tsp. red cake coloring (optional, I don't use it)
Preparation
    Sift together first 5 ingredients.
    Add shortening, milk and vanilla.
    Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes; add eggs and cake coloring.
    Beat 2 minutes more.
    Pour into 2 greased and floured pans.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes or until done.
    Use Confectioners Sugar Icing or Marshmallow Icing as desired.
