French Beef Slice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 loaf French bread
    1 lb. ground chuck
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 can (10 3/4 oz.) tomato soup
    1 can (11 oz.) Cheddar cheese soup
Preparation
    Cut the French bread lengthwise and carefully scoop out the inside. (Break the scooped out bread into bite size pieces and save for later.)
    In a large pan, cook the ground chuck until brown, adding onions towards the end so they don't burn. Pour off any excess liquid.
    Stir in soups and bread pieces.
    Spoon meat mixture into bottom half of bread shell and cover with top half. Wrap in foil, bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Cut into slices to serve 8 to 10.
