Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. water
    1/2 lb. diced bacon
    1 c. diced celery
    1 c. diced onion
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. parsley
    5 medium thinly sliced potatoes
    2 c. sliced carrots
    1 Tbsp. oleo
Preparation
    Bring first 8 ingredients to boil.
    Add remaining ingredients; bring to boil.
    Lower heat to low; cover and simmer 45 minutes. May add ham or other vegetables.
