Chocolate Chiffon Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 envelope plain unflavored gelatin, softened in 1/4 c. water
    1/2 c. strong coffee
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate bits
    4 eggs, separated
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    pastry shell
    whipped cream
Preparation
    Soften gelatin in 1/4 cup water for 5 minutes.
    Heat coffee and chocolate together until chocolate is melted, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat.
    Add gelatin; stir until dissolved. Beat egg yolks thoroughly.
    Add yolks, 1/4 cup sugar, salt and vanilla to chocolate mixture; mix well.
    Chill until slightly thick.
