Rhubarb Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. diced rhubarb
    1 c. sugar or a little less (or 1/2 c. NutraSweet)
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 egg yolks, well beaten
    1/4 c. light cream or evaporated milk
    1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Add rhubarb and 1 cup sugar.
    Cook until rhubarb is tender.
    Combine 1/4 cup sugar, cornstarch, egg yolks and milk (I used ordinary milk, didn't change it) and salt.
    Put in rhubarb and cook until thick.
    Cool.
    Put in baked pie shell.
    Top with meringue and brown.
