Sugar Crisp Twister - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    3 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. butter or oleo
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. sour cream
    3 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Soften yeast in warm water; set aside.
    Mix flour and salt; cut in butter.
    Blend in yeast, eggs, sour cream and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
    Mix well.
    Cover and chill 2 hours.
    Combine sugar and remaining vanilla.
    Roll out half of dough, using vanilla sugar mixture to keep from sticking.
    Roll out to 8 x 16-inch rectangle. Sprinkle with sugar and fold into thirds, making layers.
    Roll out.
    Fold twice more. Cut into strips 4 x 1-inch.
    Twist each strip 2 or 3 times.
    Place on greased baking sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
    Repeat with rest of dough.
    Makes 4 1/2 dozen twists.
