Cranberry Nut Loaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. cranberries, coarsely chopped
1/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. orange juice
1 tsp. grated orange rind
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt.
Cut in shortening.
Combine orange juice, grated rind with egg.
Pour all at once into dry ingredients, mixing only enough to dampen dry ingredients.
Fold in nuts and cranberries.
Put in 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan, lightly greased.
Spread corners and sides slightly higher than center.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for about 1 hour.
Cuts better if a day old.
