German Cucumbers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. water
    1 oz. salt
    5 lb. cucumbers, thinly sliced
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 oz. salt
    3 oz. onion, coarsely grated
    1 1/2 c. vinegar (cider)
    1/2 lb. sugar
    2 Tbsp. parsley, chopped
Preparation
    Dissolve salt in water and place cucumber in same and let soak for 30 minutes.
