Pauline'S 2 Hour Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. warm water
    1/3 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. melted shortening or oil
    7 or 8 c. sifted flour
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Add sugar, salt and shortening, then add flour a small amount at a time, mixing well with spoon. When dough is too stiff to stir, pour out onto well floured board. Knead until smooth and elastic.
    Place in well-greased bowl and sit in warm place (not hot) to rise until double in bulk (about 1 hour).
    Make out with hands into rolls, placing in well-greased baking pan.
    Let rise until double again (about 1 hour).
    Bake in 450\u00b0 oven.
