Great Grandma Kissel'S "Applejack" - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/4 stick butter
1 egg
1 c. milk
1 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
apples (McIntosh are best)

Preparation

Cover bottom of a 2-quart baking dish with apples first, then cover with sugar and cinnamon.
Mix rest of ingredients together. Pour over apples (don't mix with apples).
Bake at 350\u00b0 until it first starts to brown.
Turn down until done.
Good with milk and nutmeg in a bowl.
