Cranberry Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped cranberries
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    1 orange
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. liquid shortening
    buttermilk
    2 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Blend dry ingredients in a large bowl.
    Grate rind from orange and add to flour mixture.
    In separate bowl, squeeze juice from orange and add shortening.
    Add buttermilk to make 3/4 cup of liquid. Beat egg and add to liquid.
    Pour over flour.
    Add cranberries and nuts and stir until blended.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Let stand 15 minutes and remove from pan.
