Crispy Onion Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. enriched corn meal
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. milk
    1 lb. large onions, sliced and separated into rings
Preparation
    Sift flour, corn meal, salt and baking powder.
    Add oil, eggs and milk, mixing thoroughly.
    Dip onion rings into batter.
    Fry in hot deep fat (vegetable oil) for 2 or 3 minutes each side until golden brown.
    Drain on paper towel and salt.
    Batter good for fish fillets.
