Cinnamon Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 gal. large cucumbers (peeled, cored & cut round)
    2 c. lime
    8 1/2 qts. cold water
    1 c. vinegar
    1 oz. red food coloring
    1 Tbsp. alum
    enough water to cover cucumbers
    2 c. water
    10 c. sugar
    7 1/2 oz. red hot candy
    5 cinnamon sticks
    2c. vinegar
Preparation
    Add liquid to the cucumbers.
    Let set overnight.
    Bring to a boil again.
    Let stand at room temperature.
    Bring to a boil again.
    Put in jars and seal.
    If liquid runs low add a little water.
