Copper Pennies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 clove garlic or 1 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1 can tomato soup
    3 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 lb. carrots
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients except carrots.
    Peel carrots and cut very thin.
    Pour over the marinade and let it sit overnight or longer. Drain the carrots before serving.
