Garlic-Buttered Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. butter (at room temperature)
    1 small shallot, finely chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
    2 Tbsp. each finely chopped parsley and freshly grated Parmesan cheese
    1/8 tsp. ground white pepper
    12 large mushrooms
    1 small French baguette, sliced 1/2-inch thick
Preparation
    Mix butter, shallot, garlic, parsley, cheese and pepper until well blended. Twist off mushroom stems. Evenly spoon butter mixture into mushroom caps.
    Place mushrooms on a rack in a broiler pan about 6-inches below heat.
    Cook until butter is melted and mushrooms begin to shrivel slightly (about 5 minutes). Serve on bread slices to absorb buttery juices.
