Boiled Or Cooked Salad Dressing - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 to 1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. water
2 whole eggs or 4 egg yolks
1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients; add water and vinegar mixture.
Add well beaten eggs.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
Remove from heat and add butter.
When ready to use, can be thinned with cream or whipped cream to desired consistency. Can also thin with a little Miracle Whip.
Can be used with bean or potato salad.
Keeps well in fridge.
