Ingredients

1 c. sugar
2 sticks butter or oleo (I use a little less)
1 egg
1/2 lb. dates, chopped fine
2 c. nuts, chopped
2 c. Rice Krispies
Preparation

Place first 4 ingredients in heavy saucepan or skillet on top of stove; stir until it starts to boil and then cook 6 minutes until thickened.
Remove from heat and add the nuts and Krispies. Form into balls (small) and roll in flaked coconut.
Makes about 50.
