Mexican Wedding Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. sifted confections sugar
    2 1/4 c. sifted flour
    3/4 c. finely chopped nuts
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix soft butter, vanilla and sifted confectioners sugar together thoroughly.
    Sift together flour, chopped nuts and salt; stir in.
    Roll up in wax paper.
    Chill thoroughly.
    Slice 1/4 to 1/2-inch thick (whichever you prefer).
    Place on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake until set, but not brown.
    Let cool.
    Roll in confectioners sugar.
    Roll a second time if you like.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Yields about 4 dozen.
