Namasu(Japanese Cucumber Salad) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium cucumbers
    1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
    1 can clams, minced or 1/2 can abalone, chopped
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. m.s.g.
    1/2 c. white vinegar (Japanese vinegar preferred)
    1 Tbsp. chopped fresh ginger
Preparation
    Slice cucumber very thin and sprinkle with salt.
    Let stand 20 minutes.
    Drain.
    Press out excess water.
    Don't rinse.
