Granny'S Dumplins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 tsp. baking powder
    chicken broth
    1 egg
    1 tsp. salt
    milk
Preparation
    Combine flour, salt and baking powder.
    Cut in shortening. Add enough milk to make soft dough.
    Knead.
    Roll out thin.
    Cut in 1-inch squares.
    Drop in boiling chicken broth slowly to keep boiling.
    Cover tightly.
    Reduce heat to simmer.
    Cook 12 minutes.
