Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. onion
    1 clove garlic
    1/4 c. oil
    2 small cans tomato paste
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    3 c. water
    1/2 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 tsp. basil
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1 bay leaf
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
Preparation
    In a heavy saucepan brown the tomato paste in the cooking oil. When tomato paste begins to brown, add the chopped onion and minced garlic.
    Continue to cook until onion is transparent.
    Add water and mix well. Add brown sugar.
    Add tomatoes and spices. Reduce heat and simmer for at least 1 hour.
    The longer you simmer, the better it tastes.
