Muslim Bean Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. small navy beans
4 medium onions, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
3 celery sticks, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/3 c. corn oil
1/2 can tomato paste
black pepper
salt
1 tsp. sage
1 tsp. paprika
Preparation

Soak beans for several hours or overnight.
Wash and place in 3-quart pot.
Add vegetables and all remaining ingredients.
Add enough water to cover beans well.
Bring to boil and cook slowly until beans are completely soft and mashable.
Add more boiling water, if needed.
