Country Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted (works well with 1/4 c. butter instead to cut fat grams)
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. milk
    3 c. fruit/berries (cherries, apples, peaches, blueberries, etc.)
Preparation
    Combine butter, sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and milk. Blend by hand and pour into an 8 x 8 x 2 or 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Combine 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar with fruit (unless fruit was frozen with a sugar syrup).
    Pour over batter. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
