Oven Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean stew beef, cut in 1-inch strips
    4 large carrots, cut in 1-inch pieces
    2 medium onions, cut in 1-inch pieces
    2 celery ribs, cut in 1-inch pieces
    2 medium parsnips, cut in 1-inch pieces
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1 (14 oz.) can Italian stewed tomatoes
    1 1/2 c. beef broth
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/2 c. quick cooking tapioca
    1/2 tsp. dry thyme leaves
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    In a 5-quart Dutch oven combine all ingredients.
    Cover and bake at 300\u00b0 for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
    Stir every hour until meat and vegetables are tender.
