Porcupine Meatballs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can tomato soup
    1/4 c. uncooked rice
    1/4 c. minced onion
    1 tsp. salt
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    2 Tbsp. minced parsley
Preparation
    Mix 1/4 cup of the tomato soup with the rest of the ingredients.
    Shape into balls (1 1/2-inch).
    Brown in 2 tablespoons of shortening with 1 small garlic clove (minced) in skillet.
    Blend in rest of can of soup and 1 cup of water.
    Cover. Simmer about 40 minutes.
