Burghul Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. burghul (cracked wheat)
    1/4 lb. Crisco
    1 small onion, chopped
    6 c. broth (chicken, lamb or beef)
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Melt Crisco in a heavy skillet; then add dry burghul.
    Braise well.
    Fry onion in separate pan until golden.
    Mix with burghul; add broth and seasonings.
    Stir well and bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
    Remove from oven; stir well and bake again for 10 minutes.
    Serves 8.
