Low-Fat Cocoa Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. applesauce
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 egg whites or 2 egg substitutes
    1/4 c. nonfat milk
    1 c. flour, sifted
    2 Tbsp. cocoa powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Mix applesauce, sugar and vanilla.
    Beat in eggs; stir in milk. Sift dry ingredients together, then stir into mixture.
    Add nuts. Spread into 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan sprayed with Pam.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Frost while hot with Cocoa Frosting or Glaze.
