Icebox Cucumber Pickle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. vinegar
    4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. each: turmeric, celery seed and mustard seed
Preparation
    Mix ingredients together. Bring to a rolling boil and cool. Layer sliced cucumbers and onion in layers in gallon jar. Pour mixture over. Chill approximately 3 days. Stir occasionally. Will keep in refrigerator months! May add peppers, celery, zucchini or yellow squash. Makes 1 gallon.
