1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
4 Tbsp. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. peanut butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. raisins (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Sift flour, salt, baking powder and cinnamon together in a bowl.
In another bowl with a wooden spoon, beat shortening and sugar; add peanut butter and blend well. Add raisins; cover and chill for an hour.
Drop on baking sheet, 2 inches apart, and bake until brown (10 to 12 minutes).
