Sour Cream Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup butter
    3 cups sugar
    6 eggs, separated
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 cup sour cream
    3 cups flour, sifted
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar thoroughly.
    Add egg yolks one at a time.
    Add soda to flour.
    Add alternately flour and sour cream to mixture.
    Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into batter.
    Bake in a large greased and floured tube pan at 300 degrees for 1-1/2 hours.
    Cake should have a nice brown crust on top.
    Let stand 15 minutes before removing from pan.
