Frosted Date Balls - cooking recipe

1 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. oleo
1/2 c. pecans, chopped
1 Tbsp. milk
1/3 c. confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. dates, chopped
Preparation

Combine flour and salt; sift twice. Cream butter and add sugar gradually. Add milk and vanilla. Stir into flour, blending in dates and nuts. Roll into 1-inch balls and place about 3-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes about 3 dozen.
