Shannon'S Easy Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    3 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    2 c. sifted cake flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    In saucepan, combine 1 egg, 2/3 cup sugar, 1/2 cup milk and chocolate.\tCook and stir over medium heat until chocolate melts and mixture
    comes\tjust to boiling.
    Cool.
    Cream sugar and shortening until
    light.
    Add vanilla and 2 eggs, one at a time, beating well
    after each.
    Sift together flour, soda and salt; add to
    creamed
    mixture
    alternately
    with 1 cup milk, beating after
    each
    addition.
    Blend
    in
    chocolate
    mixture. Bake in 2 greased
    and
    floured
    9
    x 1 1/2-inch round pans at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Frost with Shannon's Fast and Easy Fudge Frosting.
