Key Lime Chiffon Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1/4 c. water
3 eggs, separated
1 c. sugar, divided
1/2 c. lime juice
1/4 tsp. salt
green food coloring
1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
Preparation

Soften gelatin in cold water and put aside.
On a low burner mix together 2/3 cup sugar, the egg yolks, lime juice and salt. Continuously stir this mixture and cook until it thickens somewhat. Remove from heat.
Add softened gelatin.
Tint green as desired. Chill this mixture until it slightly thickens.
